Élexpertise mandated Studio Kay to produce a series of video capsules aimed at promoting careers in microelectronics among the next generation of Quebecers. In a context of rapid growth of the sector and major investments, the project aimed to make known a strategic area still little visible to the general public.
The mandate thus provided for the creation of three complementary capsules: one to demystify the field of microelectronics, another to dive into the daily lives of workers and a final one to guide young people towards the available training courses. This content had to be informative, inspiring and accessible for high school, CEGEP and university students.
Studio Kay took charge of the entire project, from strategic thinking to final postproduction. In the spring, the team dedicated itself to structuring a solid narrative concept, identifying filming locations, choosing the right stakeholders and supporting the animator throughout the process. The filming took place over three days, in three separate locations, including several sensitive or restricted areas. This reality required a light and mobile reporting approach.
The post-production was spread from June to September, in two distinct phases: first editing, then integration of motion design into the subject. Each capsule has been thought to be both informative and inspiring, adopting a relaxed tone, close to its target audience.
The result: three three-minute capsules that immerse the viewer in the world of microelectronics. Content designed to inform, inspire and above all make young people want to project themselves into the heart of a booming sector.
