“I was born and raised in Colombia, where I studied cinematography. That training taught me to observe light, to compose a scene, to feel movement. When I arrived in Montreal, I wanted to condense all of that storytelling into a single image photography came naturally.” Twelve years later, Edward has built up a wealth of collaborations and experiences, yet holds onto the same passion for composition and light the two pillars that still anchor his visual approach today. “Photography is what gave meaning to my creativity. It’s a balance between art and technique, between intuition and precision. Every project is different, and that’s what I love: you have to understand, observe, solve problems on set or in post-production.” For Edward, every image is a way to satisfy his curiosity, connect with others, and give shape to an emotion.
